Specialties

Individuals and Couples

Erin has experience working with individual adults and believes in fostering a safe, supportive environment for all clients. She ensures that she tailors therapeutic approaches based on clients’ individuality and values the uniqueness that each client brings to the therapeutic relationship. Erin helps her clients navigate issues that include anxiety, depression, life transition difficulties, and more.

Erin also provides a safe, unbiased space for couples that are experiencing relationship challenges. Whether it is navigating issues related to communication or conflict management, the goal is to always provide couples a non-judgmental environment where both partners feel genuinely heard and understood, enabling them to express their needs and vulnerabilities openly. Erin will help clients gain tools to deepen emotional intimacy, improve communication patterns, and better manage conflict.

First Responders, Active-Duty Military, and Veterans

As a previous law enforcement officer in Washington, DC., Erin understands the challenges and mental health symptoms that first responders may experience related to on-the-job stressors and traumas, and how that might impact personal relationships with others. She understands the hesitancy and difficulty in seeking mental health treatment due to fears of how it may impact career status or other relationships.

As a military spouse, Erin can also empathize with the stressors of the active-duty culture and understands the difficulties in navigating challenges that the military environment poses on relationships and personal lives.

At Clearwater Counseling and Therapy, we ensure a confidential and safe space for clients to explore all issues, and Erin is here to help clients build skills to better navigate these stressors.

LGBTQ+ Community

Erin is passionate about supporting individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community based on personal experiences.

Growing up in a small, conservative, rural community in the Midwest, Erin understands the possible difficulties and experiences that may accompany those who are exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Erin wants to support the LGBTQ+ community by providing a safe space for individuals who may not know where to start and are looking for an affirming atmosphere to speak freely without judgement.

Whether someone is looking to further explore their sexuality or gender identity, navigate issues related to coming out, or want to process difficult relationships with others, Erin understands the importance of providing safety and wants to help all clients work toward their goals.

Erin accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and Aetna Insurance and is also able to offer self-pay sessions.
